What is happening to Israel now that it is a nation again?
Since Israel is a nation again, the land is beginning to green up and blossom as a rose, experiencing both the former and latter rains in two times of the year instead of one. This shows that God has not changed His mind concerning the elect of Israel.
Les explains that since Israel became a nation again, the land is beginning to green up and blossom as a rose. For thousands of years Israel was a wasteland because they lost the latter rain, but now they are experiencing both the former and latter rains, getting them in two times of the year instead of one. This demonstrates, as Paul says concerning the elect of Israel, that God has not changed His mind. Les also points to Romans 11:30, noting that Gentiles who in times past did not believe have now obtained mercy through Israel's unbelief.
