What is going to happen to Israel?
Israel will yet attain the fullness God has in store for them, a coming restoration. Before that, they will endure horrible times, being backed into a corner, and will frantically seek peace and acceptance from the Gentile world, just as in Samuel's day.
Les explains that Israel's fall and diminishing brought riches to the world and the Gentiles, but how much more their fullness—a fullness they have never attained yet, but it is coming. He warns not to sell the Jew down the river, because either that fullness is coming or they will go through horrible times. Already visible in the little nation of Israel, they are being backed into a corner tighter all the time, which is why they frantically try to make peace. Les compares Israel today to Israel in Samuel's day, when they wanted to be like the nations around them, rejecting being different, asking for a king. Samuel warned a king would tax them, draft their kids, and put his thumb on them. Israel is no different today; its government frantically seeks acceptance by the Gentile world.
