Why do we have nothing to do with the Law in the age of grace?
In this present age of grace, we have nothing to do with the Law because everything was accomplished at the cross. The Law was taken and nailed to His cross, settling it completely. Jew and Gentile now stand on the same footing, with no difference, not under the Old Testament economy.
Les explains that Romans 10 deals with Israel in this present dispensation. Paul made plain that since everything was accomplished at the cross and he was going out to the Gentile world, there is no difference. A Jew does not have to give up his Jewishness, but he must separate from the Old Testament economy. That is the whole idea of this age of grace: we have nothing to do with Law. Les points to Colossians, where He took them and nailed them to His cross, so it was all settled at the cross.
