Why is end-times prophecy easier to believe today than in the past?

End-times prophecy is easier to believe today because modern technology, especially satellite communication, makes global events described in Scripture plausible. The prediction that the whole world will see the two witnesses rise from Jerusalem was once hard to accept, but present-day technology makes such worldwide viewing believable.

Les explains that all prophecy in God's Word was directed to the nation of Israel, not the church, and that everything God promised Israel is still going to happen. He tells his classes that much of this prophecy would still be hard to believe if it were not for present-day technology. Satellite technology especially makes Revelation's account believable: the two witnesses are dead on the streets of Jerusalem, then after three days they rise from the dead and go up in a rapture-like experience, and the whole world will see them go. What was once tough to accept becomes believable in our present age.
