Why does Romans 8:32 give as the reason no one can condemn us?

Romans 8:32 gives the reason no one can condemn us: God did not spare His Son but gave Him up, letting Him be crucified, mishandled, and misused by the powers then in vogue. Because God is for us, no condemner can prevail.

Les teaches that Romans 8:31 is paramount to the Christian experience as a child of God. Those who have been called, elected, justified, and glorified in God's eyes can ask what shall be said to these things. If God is for us, who can be against us? That is where God wants us to rest: no one can condemn us. Verse 32 gives the reason: God did not spare His Son but let Him be crucified, mishandled, and misused by the powers then in vogue, and He gave Him up. As shown in Philippians, the Lord Jesus was obedient unto that kind of death. Like Isaac of old, a preview of the New Testament, Abraham laid Isaac upon the altar, and Isaac did not struggle or fight back but in complete obedience let Abraham lay him upon that altar.

Romans 8:32

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
