Can revival still happen in my own area if there is no worldwide revival?
Yes. Scripture gives no indication of a vast worldwide revival in the church age, but pockets of revival can still occur here and there. Believers are not to give up or assume it will never happen; they may help bring revival in their own area or little corner of the world.
Les agrees with the pastor who preached on the 144,000 in Revelation 7: he foresees no great worldwide revival, and neither does Les. However, there can be pockets of revival here and there, so believers should not give up and say it will never happen. Maybe you and I can cause a revival in our area, in our little corner of the world. Les notes there is nothing in Scripture indicating a vast revival now in the church age. Yet during the tribulation, when the 144,000 Jewish preachers go to work, a great multitude will be saved; Scripture says that. For the most part, the world today is unconcerned about spiritual things and focused on salary, homes, cars, and boats. Those things are not wrong in their rightful place, but when they become first priority and blind people to spiritual truths, they will be sorry someday. To be carnally minded is death, spiritual death and eternal doom; to be spiritually minded is life and peace, eternal life.
