Should I still try to start a revival even if no worldwide revival is coming?
Yes. Even though Scripture gives no indication of a vast worldwide revival in the present church age, believers should not give up. Local revivals—pockets here and there—remain possible, and you may help cause revival in your area or corner of the world.
Les explains that although no great worldwide revival is coming in this church age, that does not mean believers should quit. He agrees with the pastor who foresaw no worldwide revival but said there can be pockets here and there. Les says maybe you and I can cause a revival in our area, our little corner of the world. Scripture gives no indication of a vast revival now in the church age. Yes, during the tribulation the 144,000 Jewish preachers will go to work and a great multitude will be saved, but today the world is largely unconcerned with spiritual things, preoccupied with salary, homes, cars, boats, and so forth. Those things are not wrong in their rightful place, but when they become first priority and blind people to spiritual truth, they will be sorry someday. So be spiritually minded, which brings life and peace, even eternal life.
