If no worldwide revival is coming, should we give up on revival?
No. Although Scripture gives no indication of a vast worldwide revival during the church age, that does not mean we should quit. There can be pockets of revival here and there, and believers may see revival in their own area or corner of the world.
Les explains that he foresees no great worldwide revival, and he agreed 110% with a pastor preaching on the 144,000 in Revelation 7. Yet the pastor also said there can be pockets here and there, so we are not to give up and say it will never happen. Les suggests that maybe you and I can cause a revival in our area, in our little corner of the world. He notes there is nothing in Scripture indicating a vast revival now in the church age. During the tribulation, the 144,000 Jewish preachers will go to work, and a great multitude will be saved. For the most part, the world today is unconcerned with spiritual things, focused on salary, homes, cars, and boats. Those things are not wrong in their rightful place, but when they become first priority and blind people to spiritual truths, they will be sorry someday. To be carnally minded is death, spiritual death and eternal doom without end; to be spiritually minded is life and peace, eternal life.
