Why can't genuinely saved people get enough of the Bible?
The saved cannot exhaust the Bible's contents; they can never get enough of it. Once they believe the gospel, they begin to mind the things of the Spirit rather than the world and old Adam. This insatiable desire is exactly what Scripture intends.
Les explains that when a person believes the gospel and is genuinely saved, they cannot exhaust what is in this book; they just can't get enough of it. He says this is as it should be, exactly the way Scripture wants it to be. The reason is that they begin to mind the things of the Spirit rather than the things of the world and old Adam. This spiritual appetite stands in contrast to the carnal mind, which is death, but the saved person's focus is now on the things of the Spirit.
