Why can't genuinely saved people get enough of the book of Romans?

Genuinely saved people cannot get enough of Romans because its content is inexhaustible; having believed the gospel and been truly saved, they cannot exhaust what is in the book. Scripture intends it that way, and they begin to mind the things of the Spirit rather than the world and old Adam.

Les explains that once a person believes the gospel and is genuinely saved, the book of Romans becomes inexhaustible to them—they simply cannot get enough of it. This is exactly as it should be, the way Scripture wants it. The reason is that saved people begin to mind the things of the Spirit rather than the things of the world and old Adam. By contrast, the carnal mind—whether a carnal believer with mixed priorities or the lost person still under old Adam—is set on the flesh, and to be carnally minded is death.
