Why can't genuinely saved people ever get enough of the Bible?

Genuinely saved people cannot exhaust the Bible or get enough of it because salvation turns them to mind the things of the Spirit rather than the things of the world and old Adam. This is as it should be, exactly the way Scripture wants it to be.

Les teaches that when people believe the gospel and are genuinely saved, they cannot exhaust what is in this book; they just cannot get enough of it. He explains this is as it should be—exactly the way Scripture wants it. The saved begin to mind the things of the Spirit rather than the things of the world and old Adam. By contrast, a carnal Christian is a believer who is not Spirit-filled or Spirit-directed, whose priorities are mixed up and who is still more in the flesh than in the Spirit. Normally, the word carnal describes the lost individual still under old Adam, in the flesh, with nothing of eternal life. To be carnally minded is death. Jesus said in John's gospel that he who has the Son has life; he who has not the Son has not life, and the wrath of God abides on him; he is condemned already. Lost people head only one direction: spiritual death, eternal.
