What did Jesus do when He needed tax money?
When tax money was needed, Jesus told Peter to go down to the shore of the Sea of Galilee and find a fish. In the fish's mouth was just enough to pay their taxes. He knew exactly where the fish would be and provided the needed amount.
Les teaches that when Jesus needed tax money, He told Peter to go down to the shore of the Sea of Galilee, where he would find a fish with just enough in its mouth to pay their taxes. Les asks how He knew, and answers that He knew. This is one of many times Jesus manifested His power over nature. Les also points to the eighth sign in John's Gospel: the disciples fished all night and caught nothing, but at Jesus' word they put the net on the other side and caught a full net that did not break. Les emphasizes that Jesus had power even over the fish of the Sea of Galilee.
