How did Jesus provide money to pay the tax?
Rather than obtaining money by ordinary means, Jesus directed Peter to go down to the shore of the Sea of Galilee, where he would find a fish, and in its mouth would be just enough to pay the tax for them both.
Les explains that when Jesus needed tax money, He told Peter to go down to the shore of the Sea of Galilee and find a fish with just enough in its mouth to pay their taxes. How did He know? He knew because He had power over even the fish of the Sea of Galilee. This is another example of His power over nature, like calming the wind and walking on water. Les connects this to Romans, where Paul refers to Jesus as the Son of God with power.
