Les Feldick Bible Study

What was the first thing God promised to do after Adam and Eve fell?

After Adam and Eve fell, God first promised to set in motion the coming of the seed of the woman. Genesis 3:15 records this promise, and Galatians identifies that seed as Christ. This was the first voiced promise of His coming.

Les teaches that in Genesis 3:15, God is conversing with the devil and says, "I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed." Les stresses the word "seed" and connects it to Galatians, which says the seed of the woman is Christ. Les explains that this is where Christ's promised coming is first voiced, right after Adam and Eve fell, and the first thing God promised was to set in motion the coming of the seed of the woman.

Genesis 3:15

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
