What did God promise to do right after Adam and Eve fell?

Right after the fall, God promised to set in motion the coming of the seed of the woman. Speaking to the serpent, He declared enmity between the serpent and the woman and between their seeds. Scripture identifies that promised seed as Christ, the first voicing of His promised coming.

Les explains that Genesis 3:15 records God conversing with the devil. God says He will put enmity between the serpent and the woman, and between the serpent's seed and her seed. The next word is "Seed"—the seed of the woman. Les reminds listeners to note that word, because Galatians tells us plainly that the seed of the woman is Christ. Here is where His promised coming is first voiced, right after Adam and Eve fell. God promised that the first thing He would do is set in motion the coming of the seed of the woman.

Genesis 3:15

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
