What does a person see after going through the door of opportunity?
Crossing the door of opportunity after responding to 'Whosoever will may come,' the individual looks back and sees 'Chosen in Him' written on the other side. This means God chose him in Christ before the world was ever created, showing the scriptural paradox of human decision and divine election.
Les explains this by picturing a river of humanity flowing since Adam, with doors of opportunity along its banks. The front of the door says, 'Whosoever will may come.' When a person goes through that door and reaches the other side, he looks back and sees the top of the door inscribed, 'Chosen in Him,' before the world was ever created. Les says he cannot explain how Scripture can say Christ died for every man and that God is not willing any should perish, while also saying believers were chosen before the foundation of the world. He lets both facts stand by faith. We must decide for ourselves, and the moment we decide, God says, 'I chose you.'
