Where is the door of salvation, and how hard is it to enter?

The door of salvation is at ground level, set before every human being, not on a cliff, across a river, or beyond an ocean. It is narrow, but the way in is simple: believe and enter in. Salvation comes by doing nothing, as Abraham was justified.

Les explains that the door to the sheepfold is not up on a sheer cliff requiring ropes and climbing gear, nor across a roaring river requiring a boat or raft, nor across the ocean requiring a millionaire’s ticket. The plan of salvation, the door, is on ground level, in front of every human being, and all they have to do is believe it and enter in. Yes, it is narrow, but the way in is so simple. The world misses it because it cannot believe that eternal salvation and the hope of all that glory come by doing nothing. That is what God demands, and that is what Romans teaches: Abraham did nothing, yet he was justified in the same way with us.
