What are the doors of opportunity on the banks of the river of life?

The doors of opportunity on the banks of the river of life are constant invitations marked 'Whosoever will may come.' After a person responds and steps through, looking back at the headpiece, they read 'Chosen from before the foundation of the world.' This depicts God's election alongside human response.

Les explains that as mankind moves down the river of life, on both sides of the river on the bank are constant doors of opportunity over which is written 'Whosoever will may come.' When a person responds to that invitation and steps through the door, they look back on the headpiece of the door and read 'Chosen from before the foundation of the world.' This illustration shows that the invitation is for whosoever will, but those who enter discover God's sovereign election, consistent with the purpose of God according to election.
