what does god expect us to do with the doctrines he reveals in scripture?
God expects believers to get into the doctrines He has revealed in Scripture, to hang on to them, to believe them, and to trust in them. These revealed doctrines are what the Christian community needs today, providing a real reason for living as believers rather than merely claiming the name Christian.
Les explains that he is not an evangelist but feels the Lord has given him the ability to teach the Word so ordinary people can understand it. He notes they are teaching things not normally taught and getting deeper, because the Christian community needs to get into the doctrines God has revealed in Scripture. Les teaches that God expects us to hang on to those doctrines, believe them, and trust in them. Paul always writes to the believer, not the unbelieving world, so these things give believers a real reason for living. Les warns that the name Christian has been mangled and degenerated, and not everyone who claims to be a Christian is one; a real Christian is Bible-believing, born again, and a work of the Spirit of God.
