What does God expect us to do with the message that Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead?

Les explains that when Scripture says Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead, God does not expect us to do something complicated—He expects us to believe it. Believing with all the heart leads God to open up our whole ability to believe; He comes in and makes us a new person. Then these things become easy to comprehend, whereas before they were hard to comprehend. The surrounding context also shows God's mercy extends to all—Jew and Gentile, the whole human race—and His wisdom, judgments, and ways are past finding out.
