Les Feldick Bible Study

What has God prepared for those who respond to his love?

God has prepared things that eye has not seen and ear has not heard for those who respond to His love. Paul says these things are prepared for them that love Him. It is an eternity of things making earth's best seem like a pig pen by comparison.

Les teaches that God's whole program for the human race was to prepare a people to fellowship with and to return or extend His love to those who responded of their own free will to His love. The vast majority are given the free option to reject it, because God does not want in His heaven those who cannot respond to His love. But for those who do respond, He has prepared things. Paul says, "Eye hath not seen nor ear heard... the things that are prepared for them that love him." Les explains that the world may think believers are kooks or fanatic nuts, but they should consider living only 70 or 80 years; believers have an eternity of things that will make the best of this earth seem like a pig pen by comparison. This is because they have simply responded to an extended love, and that is why He went to the cross—it was love.

1 Corinthians 2:9

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

More Questions

Are the things God has prepared for those who love Him already prepared or future?

The things God has prepared for those who love Him are already prepared — not something He will do someday — and they are so great that we cannot even begin to comprehend them or bring them into the thoughts of man.

Can we be sure we will experience the things God has prepared for those who love him?

Because 1 Corinthians 2:9 promises that eye has not seen, ear has not heard, and it has not entered the heart of man what God has prepared for those who love Him, and because God cannot lie, we can rest assured that a day is coming when we will experience those things.
