How does the glory God has prepared for believers compare to the best this world offers?
The glory God has prepared for believers is beyond anything this world offers. Even the good things in America and breathtaking mountains are nothing compared to the glory Paul says will be presented to us. It has not entered human thought, and this old world is a pig pen compared to what is coming.
Les teaches that this whole world has nothing really, even though America has it so good, because it is nothing compared to the glory Paul says will one day be presented to us. That truth comes out of Romans 8. He explains that nothing has entered into our thought processes, and we have never been able to see anything like it. Even beautiful areas and mountains, which are gorgeous almost beyond description, only give a little glimpse and are so eternal, like the work of the fingers of God. Yet even that beauty is nothing compared to what is still coming. Les says to keep that uppermost in mind, because this old world is a pig pen compared to that which is coming.
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
