Les Feldick Bible Study

Why does Les say he is proud to be called a hindrance to progress?

The label 'hindrance to progress' is embraced because it means maintaining a moral fabric that holds society together and holding back the forces of iniquity until God comes. Since no nationwide revival is expected, believers may slow moral decline, which is a worthwhile purpose.

Les teaches that Christians will not turn society around and he does not foresee a great nationwide or worldwide revival. However, believers may slow the moral decline, and that is their prerogative. He says, 'Let them call Christians the greatest hindrance to progress.' If being a hindrance to progress means maintaining a moral fabric that can hold together, then he is proud to hinder. He insists we must hold back the forces of iniquity until God comes. He also notes that places of learning once were seminaries teaching this Book but now are hotbeds of immorality and leftist political thought, ridiculing God and applauding gutter lifestyles.
