Les Feldick Bible Study

Why doesn't Les condemn specific activities or tell people to stop doing them?

He doesn't have to condemn specific activities or tell people to stop, because faith in what Scripture says exposes sin. Recognition of sin comes only as one believes what God says about certain acts. Once people get into the Book and see what it says by faith, they take appropriate action.

Les explains that people have told him, and he appreciates it, that he doesn't condemn this or that. His response is that he doesn't have to. He doesn't have to tell people to stop doing this and stop doing that, because as soon as they get into the Book and see what the Book says by faith, they are going to take appropriate action. He emphasizes that faith is how we recognize sin and deal with sin: unless we believe what God says about certain activities or acts, we don't know it is sin. When God says it and we believe it, then we know what it is. The whole daily walk is prompted by faith in God, and faith guides not only into salvation but all through the Christian experience, based on what the Book says, not what someone else says.
