What did Saul do in Jerusalem after Barnabas brought him to the apostles?

After Barnabas brought him to the apostles, Saul stayed with them in Jerusalem, coming in and going out freely. He spoke boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus and disputed against the Grecians, Jews from outside Palestine. Because of this, they sought to kill him.

Les explains that when Saul came to Jerusalem, he intended to join himself to the disciples, but they were afraid of him and did not believe he was a disciple. Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles, declaring how Saul had seen the Lord on the way and had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus. Then, in verse 28, Saul was with them, coming in and going out at Jerusalem. He spoke boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus and disputed against the Grecians. Les points out that these Grecians were not Gentiles but non-Palestine Jews, Jews who were citizens of other nations. Because Saul opposed their Judaism, they went about to kill him. Les notes that nothing preempts murderous attitudes faster than religion, and that is what they attempted to do with Saul.
