What did Barnabas tell the apostles about Saul?

Barnabas took Saul and brought him to the apostles, declaring how Saul had seen the Lord on the way and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus. This testimony convinced the apostles that Saul was a genuine disciple.

Les explains that after three years, Saul came to Jerusalem and tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him and did not believe he was a disciple. They thought he might be going underground as a mole. But Barnabas, good old Barnabas, took him and brought him to the apostles—Peter, James, and John, and the rest. Barnabas declared unto them how Saul had seen the Lord in the way and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus. As a result, Saul was with them, coming in and going out at Jerusalem, and he spoke boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, disputing against the Grecians, who were non-Palestine Jews. The Grecians sought to kill him because they could not stand opposition to Judaism. Les notes that nothing preempts murderous attitudes faster than religion.
