Why did Jesus eat fish and honeycomb after His resurrection?

Jesus ate the broiled fish and honeycomb before His disciples to prove that His resurrected body was real flesh and bone and that in eternity believers will have a body able to enjoy food without health problems, cholesterol, or a blood circulatory system.

Les explains that after Jesus showed His hands and feet, He said a spirit does not have flesh and bone. What was left out? Blood. So in the eternal state, we will be bodily put together in flesh and bone, but without a blood circulatory system. The disciples still could not comprehend because of unbelief, though they were joyful. He asked if they had any food, and they gave Him a piece of broiled fish and a honeycomb. He took it and ate before them in that resurrected body. He was proving that for all eternity we will have a body that can still enjoy food. Those who love to eat can take heart: they will enjoy all these things without health problems, cholesterol, and what have you. Les also notes that the Old and New Testaments fit together, not separated by a wall, as shown by going back to Zechariah.

Luke 24:41

And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?

Luke 24:43

And he took it, and did eat before them.
