What is the believer's position according to Colossians 3:3, as Les explains?
According to Colossians 3:3, the believer is dead to the old life, and their life is hid with Christ in God. Because Christ is in God, the believer is hid in Christ, in God—a position that cannot get any tighter.
Les explains that Colossians 3:3 gives the believer’s position: “For you are dead” means dead to the old life, and “your life is hid with Christ in God.” He emphasizes that we are hid in Christ, and where is Christ? In God. You can’t get it any tighter than that, and that, he says, is our position. It is a secure standing because it is wrapped up in Christ’s own place in God.
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
