What happened to the soldiers who came to arrest Jesus?

The soldiers who came with Judas to arrest Jesus were all stricken backwards by the power of Christ's voice, according to another Gospel account. Their attempt to arrest Him was halted when they fell backward from the power of His spoken word.

Les explains that Judas betrayed Jesus in Matthew 26:50, and the huge number of soldiers who came with him tried to arrest Him. But one of the other Gospel accounts makes it plain that they were all stricken backwards simply from the power of Christ's voice. Their attempt to seize Him was stopped by the power of His spoken word. Les then moves on through chapter 26 to the mock trial and Peter's denial.
