What did Peter do on the night Jesus was arrested?

On the night of the arrest and conviction, Peter betrayed Jesus, swearing even with an oath that he did not know Him. This denial happened before the resurrection, but afterward Peter and the others received a boldness no one could shake, which served as proof of the resurrection.

Les explains that on the night of Jesus' arrest and conviction, Peter betrayed Him and swore with an oath that he did not know Him. The leaven scattered in fear for their lives. Les says he can't blame them. But after the resurrection, these same men had a boldness that no one could shake. Nothing scared them—Rome didn't scare them, the Jews didn't scare them—because of resurrection power and the proof of it. Les applies this to us, saying we live in a time when pressure and persecution could come fast, and we should be so bound in the hope and power of resurrection that we are not afraid of what can be done to this body of flesh, because death is only temporary.
