Les Feldick Bible Study

What did Jesus say would follow the wars among nations in the end times?

Jesus said famine, inflation, food rationing, and earthquakes in diverse places would follow the wars among nations. Massive destruction would cause a great dent in food supply and distribution, producing tremendous inflation and rationing, while earthquakes would increase in various places.

Les teaches that Jesus was speaking of wars and rumors of wars, with nation rising against nation and kingdom against kingdom. He connects this to Revelation chapter 6: the first horseman takes peace from the earth, the red horse brings war, and the pale horse indicates famine and inflation. As a result of these wars among the nations, there will be a great dent in the food supply and distribution, leading to tremendous inflation and food rationing because of massive destruction, and then earthquakes in diverse places. Les also notes that earthquakes have increased greatly since about 1970, multiplying year by year, though most are no longer recorded because they seem mundane, and earthquakes happen somewhere almost every day. This, he says, is what Jesus was talking about.

Matthew 24:7

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
