What is the main purpose of the Bible from cover to cover?
The whole purpose of the Bible from cover to cover is to bring lost humanity to a knowledge of salvation. God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to a knowledge of salvation, and His longsuffering toward mankind serves that saving purpose.
Les explains that the whole purpose of this Book, from cover to cover, is to bring lost humanity to a knowledge of salvation. He ties this to the longsuffering, or patience, of the Lord, saying it is salvation. God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to a knowledge of salvation. Peter also reiterates that the whole scope of God's patience is to bring the lost man to a place of salvation.
