What happened to Jerusalem in 606 B.C.?

In 606 B.C., Nebuchadnezzar came in and overran the city of Jerusalem, destroyed the temple, and got everything ready so that the nation of Israel was taken out. This was the time period when Jerusalem was conquered and the temple destroyed.

Les explains that this event occurred in the Old Testament timeline he taught, after covering Genesis, the flood, the Exodus, the giving of the law under Moses, and prophecy, primarily Isaiah. He notes that when they got to Daniel and dealt with 606 B.C., Nebuchadnezzar came in, overran Jerusalem, destroyed the temple, and prepared for Israel to be taken out. Les also reminds listeners that the nation later returned under Ezra and Nehemiah. After this period, they were ready to come into Christ's earthly ministry and first advent.
