What happened to Jerusalem a few years after the events of Acts?

A few years after the events of Acts, the Roman armies destroyed the temple and the city of Jerusalem, and the Jewish people were scattered into a dispersion that lasted until our generation. This judgment followed Israel's rejection of Peter and the eleven's appeal.

Les teaches that after Israel had seven years of constantly rejecting Peter and the eleven and their appeal, God gave up on the nation and set them aside. In just a few years after all this took place, the Roman armies destroyed the temple and Jerusalem. The Jewish people then went into a dispersion that lasted until our generation, when they began returning to the land in the early 1900s and became a sovereign state in 1948. Les emphasizes that no prophecy is directed to the church.
