When God reveals a secret, what are the people responsible to do?

Scripture teaches that the people to whom God reveals a secret become responsible to believe it and tie into it. The revealed things belong to them and their children forever, so that they may do all the words of this law.

Les explains from Deuteronomy 29:29 that “the secret things belong unto the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.” He notes that Moses was speaking directly to the children of Israel, but the principle is not limited to Israel. It applies any time in history: when God reveals something, the people to whom He reveals it become responsible to believe it and to tie into it. The eternal God keeps secrets and does not have to reveal them until He is ready in His own time.

Deuteronomy 29:29

The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
