When God reveals something that was secret, what does He expect from people?

When God reveals something previously kept secret, He expects people to believe it. Scripture teaches that the secret things belong to the Lord, but once He discloses them, He holds the human race responsible to accept that revelation by faith, whether Jew or Gentile.

Les explains that God has always reserved the right to hide things in His own mind, as when He was known to Abraham as the eternal, sovereign Creator who could conceal matters if He chose. He cites Deuteronomy 29:29, where through Moses God spoke of the secret things belonging to the Lord, but to those to whom the secret is revealed, He expects them to believe it. This pattern runs through Scripture: God keeps things secret, yet when He reveals them, He expects the human race—Jew or Gentile—to believe that revelation. The mysteries revealed to Paul, comprising the sphere of grace doctrine, illustrate this, having been kept secret until God disclosed them.

Deuteronomy 29:29

The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
