Did Jesus use His divine power when He was a child?

No. Though He never stopped being God, when the child Jesus played with other children He did not exert His deity or lord it over them. His divine nature remained under control, and He acted like an ordinary child, keeping His deity and humanity separate.

Les explains that Jesus never stopped being God—He was just as much God in the womb as after He was born. Yet His deity was under control. Les suggests that when the baby Jesus played with the kids on the block, He did not exert His deity or lord it over the other children. Being God even in the body of a child, He was still able to be in control, and He acted like an ordinary child. That pattern carried on in His earthly ministry: He never let His deity overtake His humanity under circumstances that would have benefited Him, but kept them separate.
