What did the believers do right after they were saved?
Right after salvation, believers were willing to help the people who had brought them the message. They were not saved by good deeds, but their faith produced a Christian nature to act. For example, European believers hid Jewish people and helped them escape Hitler's terror.
Les explains that these righteous believers were gathered from all nations, and Jesus identifies His brethren as Jews, specifically the 144,000. Their good deeds did not save them—no good works ever save anyone. They were saved by faith in the message. As soon as they experienced salvation, they were willing to help the people who had brought the message to them. Les gives the example of believers and Christians in Europe during Hitler's terror against the Jews; those believers hid Jewish people and helped them escape. Why? Because it is a Christian's nature to do such things.
