Les Feldick Bible Study

What happens to death and hell after the resurrection?

At the Great White Throne after the thousand-year Kingdom, death and hell are cast into the lake of fire, which is the second death. This follows the resurrection of the unjust, and the lost then experience eternal separation from God in their eternal doom.

Les teaches that the two resurrections are separated by a thousand years. The resurrection of the just occurs before the Kingdom begins, but the resurrection of the unjust takes place after the thousand years are finished. Then verse 14 shows death and hell cast into the lake of fire, the second death. The lost have died physically, but now experience spiritual lostness, separation from God. The lost of all ages are resurrected at the Great White Throne and go to their eternal doom, receiving a body fit for the lake of fire, while believers have a body prepared for eternal bliss.

Revelation 20:14

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
