What happens to the occupants of hell after they are judged?

After the great white throne judgment, hell delivers up its dead so each person is judged according to their works. Those who had occupied hell are then cast into the lake of fire, something far worse. This comprises the second death, an eternal separation from God.

Les explains that death and hell is the place of the unbeliever who has died, and they are waiting for the great white throne judgment. Hell will give up those in it so they can be judged, every man according to their works. Then those who had been occupying hell will be cast into the lake of fire. He notes they are waiting for their resurrection out of hell, only to go to something far worse, the lake of fire. That comprises the second death, physical death and now the spiritual. Death is defined as separation: physically, the separation of the spirit from the body; in the spirit realm, separation from God for an eternal separation.
