What happens to the bodies of the dead in Christ when they are resurrected?

At the resurrection of the dead in Christ, their bodies are brought out of the tomb or wherever they are buried, and they are reunited with their soul and spirit, which God has brought from His presence into the atmosphere. This occurs when the Lord descends, and the dead in Christ rise first.

Les teaches that the body is placed in the grave, while the soul and spirit of the believer are absent from the body and present with the Lord. At the resurrection, God brings those departed souls and spirits of believers only from heaven down to the atmosphere. The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God. The dead in Christ shall rise first: their bodies are brought out of the tomb, wherever they were buried, and reunited then with their soul and spirit, which God has brought from His presence into the atmosphere. By contrast, those who are alive and remain will be changed in the twinkling of an eye and will not precede those who have died.
