What happens when the trumpet sounds at the Rapture?
When the trumpet sounds, the dead in Christ are suddenly resurrected, and those alive and remaining are changed. This must be instantaneous, a split-second metamorphosis from the old body of flesh into a new glorious resurrected body, because believers cannot go to heaven in the old body.
The teaching places the trumpet at the moment of resurrection and transformation, not at a time of cataclysmic events or the wrath of God being poured out. The dead in Christ are suddenly raised, and those who are alive and remain are changed. Since believers cannot enter heaven in this old body, the change must be a real, instantaneous metamorphosis—like the caterpillar and butterfly, yet in a split second—from this old body of flesh to the new glorious resurrected body. The teaching also suggests this may occur when the last person is saved and the fullness of the Gentiles is brought in, and it then turns to I Thessalonians chapter 4.
