What happens when Christ comes at the rapture?

At the rapture, Christ leaves glory and comes to the atmosphere. The trumpet sounds, the archangel shouts, and dead church-age believers are resurrected, rising to meet the Lord in the air. Living believers, who will not die physically, follow immediately in a split second.

Les explains that this is a Pauline doctrine and a mystery never revealed elsewhere in Scripture. At the end of the church age, one group of believers will not die physically; they will be alive when everything comes to a culmination. Les describes that suddenly Christ will leave glory, come to the atmosphere, the trumpet will sound, and the archangel will shout. All the dead believers of the church age will be raised and resurrected, going up to meet the Lord in the air. Then, in a split second behind them, living believers who remain will follow. Les notes this is hard to comprehend and takes faith, and unbelievers may scoff at it.
