How does God destroy the armies gathered in Israel in the end-time judgment?

God destroys the armies gathered in Israel by a tremendous hailstorm of hundred-pound hailstones. Scripture likens the judgment to grapes cast into a wine vat, with the nations packed primarily into the valley of Megiddo. A river of blood and water then flows as deep as the bridles and horses’ bits.

Les explains that during the final seven years, all the armies of the world gather into the land of Israel at the battle of Armageddon. Satan thinks he can finally get rid of the Jewish problem, not realizing it will become the final battle between himself and Almighty God. God destroys all these accumulated armies in the land of Israel with a tremendous hailstorm of hundred-pound hailstones. The Scripture analogy is like bringing grapes into a wine vat; as a person walking in the wine vat is splattered with grape juice, so God brings the nations’ armies to the Middle East, packs them primarily into the valley of Megiddo, and destroys them with that final bold judgment of hundred-pound hailstones. There is also an accompanying river of blood and water running as deep as the bridles and horses’ bits. Revelation chapter 18 then gives the full view of how the whole world system will finally come to its end.
