Will the earthquake at the seventh bowl be global or localized?
The seventh bowl earthquake is not localized; it is a global planetary convulsion. Scripture describes a great earthquake such as had not occurred since men were on the earth. Its climax or epitome occurs in Jerusalem and the area of Israel, but the whole planet comes under these convulsions.
Les explains that the seventh bowl judgment is the finale, introduced by the voice from the temple and throne saying, "It is done." With voices, thunders, and lightnings comes a great earthquake such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty and so great. Les says he does not feel this is an isolated earthquake; he thinks the whole planet will come under these convulsions, although their epitome will be in Jerusalem and the area of Israel. The city Jerusalem is divided into three parts, the cities of the nations fall, and great Babylon comes in remembrance before God to receive the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.
And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
