Why are the armies packed together contrary to all good military strategy?
The armies are packed together because the sovereign God has reaped the earth and placed them in His wine vat for righteous judgment. Although this defies all good military strategy, He congregates them in the Middle East, including 200 million from the East, to pour out His wrath.
Les explains that Revelation 19:11 opens with heaven opened and a white horse whose rider is called Faithful and True—the Christ—who in righteousness judges and makes war. Those in the wine vat are military: the armies of the world have come to the Middle East, supposedly to annihilate Israel, and 200 million come from the East. Millions are packed into that small geographical area, not only Israel but from Edom east of the Dead Sea. As God pours out His wrath on these congregated armies, He comes from the southeast of Jerusalem, and every valley of Israel is filled with troops packed in like sardines. It is contrary to all good military strategy, but the sovereign God has reaped the earth and placed them in His wine vat, in righteousness.
