What is opened in heaven in Revelation 11:19 during the tribulation?
In Revelation 11:19, the original heavenly tabernacle is opened. Exodus says Moses built the earthly sanctuary according to the pattern God showed him, and that pattern’s original is in heaven. This heavenly original, not the earthly copy, will be opened during the closing days of the tribulation.
Les teaches from Exodus 25 that God told the children of Israel to make Him a sanctuary so He might dwell among them, according to the pattern of the tabernacle and all its instruments. A pattern points to an original, and that original has to be in heaven. He then connects this to Hebrews 9, which speaks of Christ as high priest of a greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, not of this creation. Les says it is that heavenly original which will be opened in the closing days of the tribulation there in Revelation chapter 11, verse 19.
And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
