What does Revelation 19:11-16 describe?

Revelation 19:11-16 describes the second coming of Christ, when He returns to the Mount of Olives as King of kings and Lord of lords. It follows the marriage of the Lamb and the bride's readiness, portraying Christ's future return in glory to establish His rule.

Les teaches that Revelation 19:11-16 describes the coming of Christ for the second time, down to the Mount of Olives, as King of kings and Lord of lords. In the preceding verses, Revelation 19:7-8, Les points out the marriage of the Lamb and the bride making herself ready, arrayed in fine linen, which is the righteousness of the saints. He notes the word 'wife' might better be rendered 'bride.' Then he directs attention to verses 11-16 as the account of Christ's return.

Revelation 19:11

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
