What is the temple in heaven that is seen opened in Revelation 11:19?
The temple in heaven is the original heavenly tabernacle—the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, not of this creation. It is the true sanctuary in heaven after which Moses' earthly tabernacle was patterned, and it is the one opened in Revelation 11:19.
Les teaches that when God instructed Moses in Exodus 25 to build the tabernacle, He showed him a pattern. That pattern was not the original, because the original is in heaven. Hebrews chapter 9 verses 11 and following describe Christ as a high priest of good things to come, serving in a greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, not of this creation. That heavenly original is the temple seen opened in Revelation 11:19 during the closing days of the tribulation.
And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
