What will the eternal abode be like?
The eternal abode will be a new heaven and a new earth, an earth-type situation rather than an ethereal realm in distant regions. It will be a viable social existence on planet earth, where heaven itself is located, following the destruction of the present earth after the initial thousand-year kingdom.
Les explains that Revelation's end-time events culminate in Christ's Second Coming and the setting up of the Kingdom. He teaches that the Kingdom will come upon the earth, and heaven will be on this earth as well. After the initial thousand years, the present earth is destroyed, and Revelation's last two chapters describe a new heaven and a new earth. So the eternal abode is not an ethereal heaven in regions beyond, but an earth-type situation and a viable social existence on planet earth.
